Your access to the EU market can be arranged via CE certification and affixing the CE Mark to your product.
CE marking is a mandatory legal conformity requirement for all products sold within the EU and indicates that a product has been assessed by the manufacturer and deemed to meet EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements. It is required for products manufactured anywhere in the world that are then marketed in the European Union and the European Economic Area. That means free movement throughout nearly 30 countries is allowed, giving you direct access to around 500 million consumers.
CE Marking for the Radio Equipment Directive (RED)
To obtain CE marking, products with radio technologies must meet the essential requirements defined by the European Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU (RED). This directive defines the legal framework for all products with radio technologies. The main requirements defined are health and safety, electromagnetic compatibility and the efficient use of radio frequencies. Manufacturers of products with radio technologies on the EU market must prove compliance with the RED by providing a Type Examination certificate based on your technical documentation or a declaration of conformity (DoC) and the CE marking if only harmonized standards have been followed.
When there is a deviation from harmonized standards or where these do not exist, specific test plans must be defined to meet the essential requirements.
