Canada:
A Canadian Authorized representative is required when the applicant’s company address is not within Canada. The applicant shall provide a signed Application and Agreement for Certification Services in which the details of the authorized representative in Canada shall be clearly identified. The agreement for authorized representative services shall be valid for as long as the certified product is offered on the Canadian market. The Canadian representative shall be responsible for responding to all enquiries from ISED regarding the certified product(s), including providing audit samples at no charge to ISED. If needed, we can point you to a specialized Canadian agency that can provide this service for you.
UK:
A UK representative is required when the applicant’s company address is not within the UK. If needed, we can point you to a specialized UK agency that can provide this service for you.
EU:
Manufacturers of wireless devices shall, to a reasoned request from a competent national authority, provide it with all the information and documentation in paper or electronic form necessary to demonstrate the conformity of the radio equipment with the Radio Equipment Directive, in a language which can be easily understood by that authority. They shall cooperate with that authority, at its request, on any action taken to eliminate the risks posed by radio equipment which they have placed on the market. Your EU Authorized representative can represent you towards the authorities with the following tasks:
– keep the EU Declaration Of Conformity and the technical documentation at the disposal of national market surveillance authorities for ten years after the radio equipment has been placed on the market;
– further to a reasoned request from a competent national authority, provide that authority with all the information and documentation necessary to demonstrate the conformity of radio equipment;
– cooperate with the competent national authorities, at their request, on any action taken to eliminate the risks posed by radio equipment covered by the authorized representative’s mandate.
– Inform you immediately about any complaints or issues from surveillance authorities.
